Free the PressThe Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the United States Consulate General in Monterrey announces an open competition for civil society organizations, NGOs and journalist associations to submit applications and carry out a public diplomacy project on data journalism in Monterrey, Mexico.

Program Objectives

The purpose of this service is to conduct a regional workshop on data journalism for journalists of six northeastern Mexican states that will include approximately 50 journalists from Nuevo Leon, Coahuila, Durango, San Luis Potosi, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas. Journalists participating will cover their own travel to Monterrey, lodging and per diem.

Date: May 2020 (Friday through Sunday)
Location: Monterrey, NL Mexico
Audience: 50 journalists from the states of Nuevo Leon, Coahuila, Durango, San Luis Potosi, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas selected from an open registration and aiming for a balanced representation of all these states.
