USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah visits Mexico

USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah is in Mexico April 15-16 participating in the High-Level Meeting of the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation. As part of his visit, on April 15 he signed a letter of intent with Mexico’s International Development Cooperation Agency (AMEXCID) and the government of El Salvador to support the Cacao Initiative as a result of the coffee rust outbreak. On April 16, Dr. Shah will participate in an event with Mexican Economy Secretary Ildefonso Guajardo to highlight the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship and will recognize new Mexican awardees of USAID’s Innovation Fund for the Americas.
