U.S. Participates in Pacific Alliance Legislators Meeting

Mexican legislators hosted observer countries from the Pacific Alliance today as part of the first meeting of the Commission of Legislative Affairs of the Alliance.  Minister Counselor for Economic Affairs Stephanie Miley represented the United States, praising the Alliance’s progress and outlining some of the areas of cooperation with the U.S., which include facilitating business travel, expediting port of entry clearance procedures for qualified companies, accelerating trade facilitation and customs modernization, and helping improve the business and investment climate.  The U.S. is also interested in boosting innovation and entrepreneurship, developing ways to strengthen the ties that bind our scholars, universities, and entrepreneurs.
