Tijuana Scientist from UCSD visits local universities

Científica Tijuanense de la Universidad de California en San Diego visita UTT en Tijuana

Dr. Olivia Graeve, Professor of Mechanics and Materials at the University of California, San Diego visited Tijuana to share experiences and advice with engineering students at the State University of Baja California, Valle Las Palmas Campus and at Technological University of Tijuana. The lectures highlighted the importance of STEM Education. Dr. Graeve shared her work on current research projects on the development of new materials for the aerospace industry and her experience in the field.

Dr. Graeve also highlighted a science summer exchange program for high school students of Tijuana at the University of California, San Diego, exposing students to interesting career possibilities in the areas of science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
