The Diplomatic Community Commemorates 40 Years of Rights for All in LGBT+ Pride Parade

We join the people of Mexico and others around the world in celebrating Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Plus (LGBT+) Pride, and reaffirm our commitment to protecting and defending the human rights of all, including LGBT+ persons.  We stand firmly with you as you exercise your human rights and fundamental freedoms at this year’s Marcha de Orgullo LGBT+ CDMX.

The theme of this year’s parade – “40 años viviendo en libertad ¡No renunciaremos!” – reminds us of our achievements, and that we must continue our efforts to build an inclusive culture which reflects diversity and equality.  We are committed to end all forms of violence and discrimination against persons on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity.  Saturday, June 23 will be a day to celebrate diversity, equality, empowerment, and freedom.

We hope to see you at the Pride Parade as Ambassadors and representatives from twenty embassies and other diplomatic missions and international offices march in celebration of, and in solidarity with, the LGBT+ community in Mexico.
