The United States and Mexican governments cooperate to confront our shared challenges. To create and expand opportunities for the United States and Mexico our agencies work within the frameworks of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) and the High-Level Economic Dialogue (HLED) to integrate our supply chains and focus on consolidating North America as the world’s leading economic and clean-energy powerhouse.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has collaborated with the people of Mexico for more than 40 years, and is a key partner in realizing the future our Presidents envision. Today, USAID and Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) jointly coordinate our foreign assistance to address the root causes of migration in northern Central America. USAID programs also concentrate on mutual Mexican and American priorities such as preventing crime and violence, strengthening the rule of law, enhancing transparency, protecting and promoting human rights, and helping rural Mexicans earn a living while protecting the environment.
No U.S. government funding can be used for partisan purposes. The U.S. government and its agencies have rigorous mechanisms in place to monitor and ensure U.S. assistance is implemented objectively in accordance with the provisions of the grants.
