Security Alert – Federal Forces Replace Municipal Police in Acapulco – U.S. Embassy Mexico City, Mexico September 25, 2018

 

Location: Acapulco, Mexico

Event: On September 25, the State Attorney General for Guerrero announced a joint operation with the Mexican armed forces, federal police, and state police in Acapulco. The armed forces have disarmed the municipal police and have taken over law enforcement responsibilities for the municipality until further notice.
