The Public Affairs section is responsible for the Consulate General’s media relations as well as its educational and cultural programs. Public Affairs section collaborates closely with Mexican professional, governmental, educational, media, and cultural institutions and individuals in the states of Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo Leon, San Luis Potosí, and Zacatecas to promote dialogue and sustained interchange between our two countries.
The Public Affairs Section provides information about the United States, including official policy statements from U.S. government officials and information about U.S. politics, foreign policy, business and trade, education and culture.
The Public Affairs Section also administers academic and cultural exchange programs for Mexican youth and professionals. PAS supports the teaching and learning of English in Mexico through seminars, on-line courses, and micro-scholarships for youth.
PAS also maintains on on-line presence including a website, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube
