New Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana

Kim Scrivner PAO TijuanaTijuana, B. C., August 30, 2021. – The U.S. Consulate General in Tijuana is pleased to announce the arrival of Kim Scrivner as the new Public Affairs Officer in Tijuana. Ms. Scrivner will serve in Tijuana for the next three years.

As Public Affairs Officer, M. Scrivner is responsible for all media, cultural, and academic issues, with jurisdiction over the states of Baja California, Baja California Sur and Sonora.

A career diplomat, Kim previously served as Cultural Affairs Officer in Istanbul, Vice Consul in Bogota, and Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer in Moscow and in Amman. She earned a BA in English from Brigham Young University, MA in English from King’s College London, and a PhD in European Studies from University College London, where she was a European Commission Marie Curie scholar.

Kim joins us from Moscow with her husband, and their small children.
