Small, medium and large companies: for those of you who are responsible offerors, with permits and licenses to do business in Mexico and interested in offering your services, supplies and/or goods/items to the U.S. Embassy in Mexico, please submit your DUNS number (see Requirements), name, title, company name, complete address, telephone number, cell phone number, email address and a brief description of the services, supplies and/or goods/items your company is offering.  Also, if available, please provide a link to your company’s website.

Send this information to the email address indicated on the advertisements, pointing out which type of product or service your company would like to offer.

Requirements:

Interested companies must obtain a “Contractor Identification Number” and register in the “Data Universal Numbering System” (DUNS) at their website.  SAM registration (System for Award Management website) is required for all actions in excess of $25,000 for local firms and $3,500 for US firms prior to award pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7.

Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Mexico City will launch the solicitation on the SAM.gov website once it is available.

The U.S. Embassy Mexico City has a requirement for a firm to restore/renovate an existing residential building. This construction effort is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000 and needs to be completed by May, 2022 in Mexico City. This work requires the services of a professional contractor with experience in Residential renovation.

All firms that respond to the solicitation must be technically qualified and financially responsible to perform the work. At a minimum, each offeror must meet the following requirements when submitting their proposal:

  • Be able to understand written and spoken English;
  • Have an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing;
  • Have the necessary personnel, equipment and financial resources available to perform the work;
  • Have all licenses and permits required by local law;
  • Meet all local insurance requirements;
  • Have the ability to obtain a performance and guarantee bond and a payment bond, or to post adequate performance security, such as irrevocable letters of credit or guarantees issued by a reputable financial institution;
  • Have no adverse criminal record;
  • Have no political or business affiliation which could be considered contrary to the interests of the United States;
  • Have good experience and past performance records; and,
  • Identify specialized experience and technical competence required to complete the construction work in accordance with this solicitation.

If you have already started your SAM registration you will be required to create a DUNS number as part of your registration process.

If you have not yet started your SAM registration – please wait until after April 4, 2022 to begin, as after this date you will no longer be required to create a DUNS number. In this way you will be able to register on SAM faster.

If you are renewing your registration, a 60-day extension for any existing SAM.gov entity registration needing to renew with an expiration date ranging between March 18, 2022, and April 18, 2022. No action is required on the part of entity registrants.
