Event: Tropical Storm Narda is predicted to move up the Sinaloan and Sonoran coast over the next few days. Sinaloan Protección Civil has closed schools and recommended that work activities cease in the following municipalities: Elota, San Ignacio, Cosala, Mazatlan, Concordia, Rosario, and Escuinapa. The Port of Mazatlan is closed, as is the Mazatlan International Airport. Heavy rains and strong winds are expected along the coasts of Sinaloa and Sonora, which are likely to cause life-threatening flash floods and landslides.
