Message for U.S. Citizens: Acapulco – Hurricane Otis Assistance and Acapulco Consular Agency Closure

Location: Acapulco, Guerrero

Event:  The Government of Mexico continues work to restore communications and provide assistance to individuals in areas impacted by Hurricane Otis. Bus company Costa Line has bus service from two points in Acapulco (Av. Fallaron at the Maxitunel exit and Blvd. De Las Naciones by the Hotel Mayan Palace entrance)to Mexico City’s Taxqueña bus station.

U.S. Consular Agency Acapulco is closed through Friday, November 3rd due to Hurricane Otis.  Those who previously scheduled appointments are advised to reschedule at U.S. Embassy Mexico City or another U.S. Consulate or Consular Agency.

 

Actions to Take:

  • Monitor local media for updates, follow directions from local officials, and in case of emergency, call 911.
  • Keep loved ones advised of your location and well-being via phone, text, and social media.
