English Access Microscholarship Program
The English Access Microscholarship Program provides a foundation of English language skills to talented 13 to 20 year-old public school students from disadvantaged sectors of society, providing them with in-country quality after-school classes and activities, in addition to intensive summer sessions. American English Live Teacher Development Series
Do you want to develop professionally but don’t have lots of time? This program offers three series of six sessions each every year. Each session lasts one hour and is broadcast every other week on Facebook Live. The sessions feature American instructors sharing interactive, student-centered approaches to language teaching. American English E-Teacher Program
Are you committed to developing yourself professionally? This competitive scholarship allows you to take an eight-week, Master’s degree-level, online course in a TESOL-related field. All courses have been developed and are delivered by reputable American institutions of higher education via innovative distance learning technology. Learn more here. English Language Specialist Program
Would you like the support of an American consultant? This program brings U.S. academics and professionals in the field of TESOL for two weeks to four months to work at an institution on projecst like teacher training, curriculum and textbook development, or program evaluation. U.S.-Bound Exchange Programs
Each year RELO Mexico sends selected teachers to the international TESOL Convention. The Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program offers English teachers the chance to do an academic stay in the U.S. Watch the Embassy Website and Facebook page for announcements about the Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) too. The RELO Mexico Facebook page is where you can learn about other U.S. bound exchange programs that we offer from time to time.
English Language Fellow Program
Would your institution like to host an English Language Fellow? Fellows are talented, highly-qualified American citizens with a graduate degree in the field of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Fellows are based at local institutions, where they work on a specific project for ten months. Learn more here – Download flyer, then contact us.
Small Grants
Do you need a little support for your English language teaching idea? If your project seeks to accomplish something that meets RELO Mexico goals too, we might be able to support you. Send us a short proposal and budget to RELOMexico@state.gov. If we are interested, we will contact you.
