Discontinuation of Acceptance of Consular Reports of Birth Abroad at Mazatlan
The U.S. Consulate General in Hermosillo and the Mazatlan Consular Agency would like to inform the U.S. citizen community that effective September 9, 2014, Mazatlan will no longer accept or process applications for Consular Reports of Birth Abroad. All such applications should be made directly to the Consulate General in Hermosillo.
The primary responsibility of a consular agency is to provide emergency services such as assistance in death cases, services to crime victims, and other special services. Moving applications for Consular Reports of Birth Abroad to the Consulate will enable Mazatlan’s staff to focus on its core responsibilities and better serve the community.
