Consulate Tijuana promotes sustainable craft beer production in Baja

Dana Villeneuve, a specialist in sustainable craft beer production from New Belgium Brewery of North Carolina, visited Tijuana and Ensenada to share her experience with local producers about best practices on the sustainable craft beer production.

During her Baja visit, she held a conference about sustainable craft beer production with local craft brewers at Cerveceria Canneria in Ensenada and BCB Tasting Room in Tijuana, in addition to meeting and exchanging ideas with students of biochemical engineering of Tecnologico de Tijuana who run the craft brewery production club at the university. As part of the program, the Foreign Agricultural Service in Monterrey, Mexico invited David Tweet, a consultant from Montana Wheat & Barley Committee, to discuss the importance of quality ingredients in brewing and the benefits of using U.S grains.
