Consulate Supports Non-Government Organizations

In Monterrey, Minister Counselor for Public Affairs Susan Elbow met with representatives of non-government organizations receiving small grants funds from the Public Affairs Section.  The organizations promote various themes, including promoting a cultural of lawfulness on university campuses, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) learning among girls, and robotics skills acquisition among high school students from disadvantaged backgrounds.   Representatives from three local organizations, Consejo Cívico, Mente en Acción, and Alfa Foundation preparatory school discussed how small grants funding from the Consulate General in Monterrey helped them to support programs that achieve goals of mutual interest to Mexico and the United States.
