Tijuana, Baja California, November 19, 2018 – Chargé d’ Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Mexico visited Tijuana, Baja California to meet with local and international partners regarding the migrant caravan; continued collaboration in security and business; and other areas of bilateral cooperation.
During his visit, Chargé Creamer, the most senior U.S diplomat in Mexico, visited the San Ysidro Port of Entry and met with officials from Customs and Border Protection. He toured Tijuana and observed the city’s response to the arrival of migrants. Additionally, he met with Governor of Baja California Francisco Vega de Lamadrid and other state and federal officials to discuss opportunities and challenges due to the caravans in the state as well as the response to the influx of migrants in Tijuana and other cities.
Chargé Creamer also met with staff at the U.S.Consulate in Tijuana.
