California and Mexico Sign Agreement to Foster Trade and Investment
California and Mexico Sign Agreement to Foster Trade and Investment

Governor of California Edmund Brown, accompanied by Ambassador Wayne, met with Minister of Economy Guajardo to discuss economic priorities between the State of California and Mexico, including border management and linkages between information technology (IT) industries.  Brown and Guajardo also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand trade and investment, recognizing the already significant two-way trade relationship between California and Mexico.  The primary purpose of this MOU is expand trade and investment cooperation, foster scientific and technological collaboration for business development in emerging key sectors, strengthen communication, enhance trust, boost economic development and create jobs.
