Ambassador Wayne Visits “Casa de la Amistad” for Children with Cancer

Mexico City, April 29, 2014 – U.S. Ambassador Anthony Wayne and Ing. Guillermo Wolf, Executive Vice President and General Director of the American Chamber of Commerce, visited Casa de la Amistad para Niños con Cancer this morning with several prominent executives of U.S. businesses such as Coca-Cola, American Airlines, Best Buy, Procter and Gamble, Disney, Oracle, Office Depot, Dell, Microsoft, and Pfizer.  The event was designed to highlight the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility programs, and the valuable contributions made by U.S. companies with investments in Mexico.  Ambassador Wayne, Ing. Wolf and participating company executives toured the facilities.  Casa de la Amistad expressed its gratitude for the visit and emphasized the importance of CSR programs in offsetting the cost of cancer treatment in Mexico for families who otherwise would not be able to afford it.
