Nogales, Sonora, December 13th, 2016—U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Roberta Jacobson continued highlighting the transcendence of the bilateral relationship and the economic importance of the border region with a visit to Nogales, Sonora. Ambassador Jacobson met with grantees from Jovenes en Accion who work in a program to counter sexual violence and raise awareness on harassment. She thanked them for their commitment to positive social change. The Ambassador delivered remarks to students from the Intituto Tecnologico de Nogales and stressed the fact that the economic success of Mexico and the United States depends on the success of the border region, while noting the need for more investment in infrastructure as well as in innovation processes that facilitate legitimate trade.
