Carlos Francisco Jackson
Carlos Jackson was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. The visual artist and writer received his Bachelor of Science in Community and Regional Development, and Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of California, Davis. He published a book in 2009, Chicana and Chicano Art: ProtestArte, on the history of the Chicano Art Movement. Two years later, the University of Illinois, Springfield, published a catalog of his artwork titled Mi América/My America: Carlos Jackson. Mr. Jackson was also a featured artist and essayist in the exhibition catalog Estampas de la Raza. He has had numerous group and solo exhibitions throughout the United States.
